Kai's photoshoot...

I finally took some pictures of Kai for his 3 month photoshoot. It's almost 4 months but whateva. Well technically it's "still" 3 months, he doesn't turn 4 months until the 20th. hee hee
He's my squirmy little boy. He never stays still. Ugh! Is this a foreshadowing of what's to come?

He's trying to turn over. It's gonna happen soon.

"It's all fun in games..."

My lil missy was having a meltdown because she lost her "binky". Can you read her shirt? Do you see the resemblance? Hmmm the irony...

on shirt: "it's all fun and games until someone loses their binky"

All better!

ROFLOL!!!

Happy Halloween

Oh some pics to share...

911 Call...

I made my first 911 call today. *long sigh* Everything is OK, just to clear everything up. But it was scary for a while there.
As you all know our girls were in the NICU and they had problems with their breathing/sucking/swallowing reflex. Well today Kendra had a little problem again. I was tandemly nursing her and Kai, (yes she's finally starting to latch some) and she started coughing. Having seen her stop breathing in the NICU, I always know what to look for and she began to "get the look". So I started to pound on her back to try to get her to breathe. No response. She began turning purple. So my mom picked her up and tried to do the same (probably 30 seconds passed) but she still wasn't breathing. She was trying to cough but couldn't. So that's when my mom and I looked at eachother and I knew...it's time to call 911. Finally as I was talking to the dispatcher and the paramedics were already on their way, Kendra started to breathe again. (Thank the Lord!) The fire department and paramedics came in, took her vitals and she was fine. But what a scare. Ugh! Man I'm emotionally drained. So please keep my babies in prayer, especially Kendra, she's obviously not over the hump just yet.

On a lighter note here's some video that I've taken over the past few days of Chloe & Kai smiling. ( I haven't caught Kendra yet, she's just starting)

They're 3 months...and I'm dead tired....

Our babies are 3 months!!! Wow we've made it...barely but we did :) I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to share but I'm so busy and don't have time to upload and edit. So I have quite a few that are just sitting on my camera. Hopefully I'll get some time to situate all that. In the meantime, I'm just trying to keep up with regular house chores, eating and sleep sleep sleep. And my babies are starting this whole thing of not wanting to sleep on their own in their crib. They like to be held. Yep...dum dum dum dum dummmmm! I've read in several books that you should go ahead and hold them and not worry because before 6 months of age you can't spoil a baby. I totally agreed with it and was all about that philosophy. Until my babies will fall asleep in your arms, the minute you put them down they begin crying, the second you pick them up they fall right back to sleep again. And I mean they go to sleep sleep. It isn't that they comfort a little then fall asleep, it's automatic. Hmmm I think it's a lil fishy don't ya think? We all laugh at how automatic it is. How do they know, they're only 3 months? Well they know and they're feisty about it too. Ugh, so needless to say it's going to be a looong week of crying cause I'm going to have let the trips exert some tears. Oh I hate when they cry. Say a lil prayer for me.
But on the upside our babies are doing great. I have so much help from friends and family. Such a blessing.

Here are some of the babies milestones:

  • Chloe and Kai have been smiling a lot the past week. Kai especially!
  • Kendra is just starting to smile.
  • All 3 are holding their heads up really well.
  • Chloe and Kai both are able to follow objects with their eyes. Kendra isn't quite there yet but getting there.
  • Kai is starting to giggle. He loves when my mom reads to him.
  • Kai is at the beginning point of rolling over. Not there yet, but when he's on his tummy he's trying.
Hopefully I can get some of thee above on video and camera. :)
Thank you all for your prayers and support. Stay tuned!
